Celebrating golden hour in art

Invite sunny energy and laidback warmth into your home with Golden Serenade, an eclectic art collection combining flirty florals, naïve illustrations and spirited abstracts. With a distinctly whimsical style, this alluring collection is a fanciful nod to feminine optimism.

Annica Wallin, Chief Creative Officer at Desenio, says

“Golden Serenade captures a lived-in warmth with a rustic painterly feel. It is inspired by handcrafted details and floral patterns, while the warming colour palette and use of tone-in-tone creates a positive feminine energy.”

Behind the art: Blooming Radiance

In the Stockholm Atelier, one of our artists used pan pastels with extra soft brushes and sponges to create the smooth shapes of Blooming Radiance. This material is more like a powder than paint, and by working the edges with brushes and sponges, a dreamy softness to the shape was created.

Soothing art for neutral spaces

Instil peace at home with Quiet Horizons, a grounded art collection that celebrates calm in the Scandinavian minimalist tradition. In tune with life’s rhythm, these organic artworks layer neutral spaces with meaning through serene reflections, tactile expression and humble tranquillity.

Annica Wallin, Chief Creative Officer at Desenio, says

“Quiet Horizons is rooted in Swedish minimalism; light, understated and quietly meaningful. With a strong connection to nature and a focus on harmony, texture and gentle movement, these collections invite reflection and restore a sense of calm. They are quintessentially Scandinavian.”

Behind the art: Pointillist Horizon

The pointillist technique first emerged around 140 years ago and relies on the eye joining up dots of different colours to make an image. Pointillist Horizon was created using this technique, but with larger dots than traditional pointillism, it creates a semi-abstract look, that makes it all the more soothing to look at.

Playful art that packs a punch

Bring a bold and colourful energy to your space with Club Play: an art collection that reverts to a simpler, more playful time. With a healthy dose of nostalgia, this collection forms an effortlessly innovative look by uniting daring nonchalance with retro design.

Annica Wallin, Chief Creative Officer at Desenio, says

“Club Play is a playful, graphic and bold collection, combining a retro feel with everyday details and layering it all with cheeky humour. Contrasting colours create visual impact while bold forms speak of design innovation, combining to create artworks that are perfect for adding vitality to your space.”.

Behind the art: Night Rider

One of our photographers travelled to a stable close to Stockholm to shoot Night Rider. The photographer himself features in the image, sitting atop the horse in a wide brimmed hat. The original photo was blurred and toned down to include just two shades of blue creating the distinctive tone-in-tone image.
