Meet Spicy Revival
This collection is where an exuberant vintage look meets a cosy palette of oranges, reds and browns with a sporadic blast of light blue. It’s a new take on Mid-Century Modern, perfect for matching with bold styling and vintage finds to create an inviting interior that’s a stylish blend of contemporary and retro. The collection is made up of a daring balance of semi-abstract landscapes, figurative work with poise and attitude, together with playful photography and retro graphic design. Each piece is beautiful in its own right, but with a common colour palette and distinct 70s feel, gallery walls created entirely from the Spicy Revival collection will have a bold and enduring look.
Let’s go retro
The 70s aesthetic the trend that keeps coming back around, and for good reason, right? That warm orange hue just makes you want to cosy up under a big scarf and meet autumn with open arms.
By giving the contrasting blue a little more space, this collection is a more nuanced and up to date take on the recurring trend for 70s inspired interiors. Whether you tend towards photography or abstract painting, you will discover art that will help you balance the retro warm and burnished tones with a more modern colour palette.
Annica Wallin, Executive Creative Director at Desenio, says:
“Spicy Revival is for those drawn to the expressive freedom of the 1970s but want a curated, modern twist. The key is contrast: warm leathers and woods set a grounded base, while vibrant blues elevate and refresh.”
See how Terracotta Lines came to life
Each collection Desenio launches is carfeully curated by a team of artists, designers and photographers in the Stockholm Atelier.
Some designs are painted by artists in the atelier, such as Terracotta Lines. Inspired by colour field painting, which has it’s roots in the Abstract Expressionism of the 50s, the white lines contrast with the textured orange base to create space for reflection.
